Also introduced for 2015 was the Dodge Challenger Hellcat.  A 6.2L Supercharged V8 powered street eater that bolstered 707 HP and 650 lb. ft. of torque.  A 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds, a 1/4 mile time of 10.8 seconds*, and a top speed of 199 mph could now be had from the factory.  The Hellcat was touted as being the 'most powerful muscle car ever.'

Several new graphics packages as well as wheels were introduced in the 2015 model year also, including the limited edition Brass Monkey finish.  Paint Color choices were Sublime Green, Billet Silver Metallic, Ivory Tri-Coat Pearl, TorRed, Phantom Black Tri-Coat Pearl, Redline Red Tri-Coat Pearl, Bright White, B5 Blue Pearl, Granite Crystal Metallic, Jazz Blue Pearl and Pitch Black.

The 2016 model year saw the return of the color Plum Crazy.  There was also a new Blacktop appearance Package for the SXT and R/T trim levels.  The engine sizes remained the same as well as the transmission choices.  The Hellcat remained available for the 2nd year still producing the same 707 horsepower and 650 lb. ft. of torque.  Still standard on the Hellcat were the Brembo brakes, Pirelli P Zero Nero tires, 20 inch forged aluminum wheels, and functional heat extractors.

Many interior improvements came with the 2016 model year as well.  Still a favorite is the Uconnect system with the Performance Pages app.  This allowed the owner to monitor and modify many performance aspects of the car; steering effort, shift pattern, throttle sensitivity, not to mention launch mode which allowed adjustment to what RPM it holds the engine to before launching.

With so many different option and appearance packages available, 2016 saw the second best sales numbers by far for the Challenger.  There were approximately 64,433 sold domestically in the US, and 3158 sold in Canada.

The Challenger line had some interesting additions for 2017 including the new T/A variant bringing standard 20 inch alloy wheels, satin black exterior graphics, Brembo brakes, sport seats, a modified directed cold-air hood system, standard cold air induction and the "Air Catcher" headlight from the Hellcat.  The Uconnect system has also been upgraded and now comes standard with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration.  All models equipped with the 5.7L HEMI® also come with an active exhaust standard.  The Houndstooth cloth upholstery now comes standard on the SXT, R/T, R/T Shaker, and the R/T Scat Pack models.  The SRT models now come standard with lightweight 20 inch alloy wheels and an illuminated steering wheel logo in red  for the Hellcat and white for the SRT 392.

Four new paint schemes are also available for 2017: Green Go, Yellow Jacket, Destroyer Gray, and Octane Red.

The biggest news for the Challenger line was the resurrection of the Dodge Demon.  It was teased through a series of cryptic vidoes and then finally revealed at the New York Auto Show.  Available for the 2018 model year, only 3000 are being produced for sale in the US and 300 in Canada. The 840 horsepower and 770 lb. ft. of torque rockets the Demon to a 0-60 mph time of 2.3 seconds and a quarter mile time of 9.65 @ 140 mph.  Using the same motor as the Hellcat, the Demon upped the supercharger to a 2.7 liter that runs the boost up to 14.5 psi.  It also utilizes the air conditioning to cool the incoming air through the new wide mouth 'Air Grabber' hood scoop.  Operating with the standard black key the Demon boasts 500 hp, with the red key the full 808 hp, and with race gas and the red key, 840 hp.

Sales figures for the 2017 model year are still coming in.  Year to date there have been 41,243 sold domestically in the US and 2269 sold in Canada.
