Dodge Challenger (2008-2013) Stainless Steel Door Handle Pulls - 2pc
Part: #ACC-151003

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Included:  2 x Door Handle Pull Trims, 1 x packet of promoter

1.  IMPORTANT NOTE:  BEFORE YOU BEGIN YOU MUST FIRST PREP THE SURFACE IN ORDER TO ALLOW ADHESION. You do this by scrubbing the entire area with household Isopropyl Alcohol (or rubbing alcohol) found at most grocery stores and all hardware stores.  Scrub the are vigorously to remove any hint of oil. .

2.  Once properly cleaned take the piece of test strip tape (included) and remove a portion of the back red liner.  Stick the test tape strip to the area in your interior where you will be mounting your new trim.  Test several areas.  If it is tacky and sticks then proceed to the next step.  If it is not sticking very well in any of the spots you tested then re-clean the area until the test strip sticks to all areas.  If the test strip tape doesn't stick well neither will your new trim piece.

3.  Whomever bends the part into shape should posses some good hand-eye skill and coordination.
Take your Passenger Side Door Handle Pull and line it up carefully at the top against the door panel.  Starting Ensure the parts widest side's edge is pushed up against the door wall.  Now while holding it in place slowly and carefully bend down on the trim piece until it lays along the door handle at a 90 degree angle.  If is not quite right you can flatten it out and try and again.
Once you have formed it to the door panel take off the trim part and over bend it somewhat.  This will help it form to the door handle area without wanting to pop off or pull up.

4.  Now that your interior areas have been prepared use the adhesive promoter packs/tubes (provided) to wipe the areas of your dash or door where your new stainless pieces will be mounted.  Allow a few seconds to dry.
You have been provided with attachment tape test strips. Use one of these to test the tack. If it seams to stick well then you can proceed with your installation. If you can not get the test tape to stick you will need to re-clean/scrub with the 'Isopropyl' cleaner.

5.  IMPORTANT:  Before you remove the liner for permanent attachment place each piece into position and check the fit and also get acquainted with just how each part sets in place. Ensure that your hand bending has produced a nice perfect fit. Test it before removing the back red liner.  If the trim piece is not fitting perfectly - STOP.  Call us.
Now that  you are satisfied with the shape and fit peel the red release liner and gently set each piece into position.
Make any final tiny adjustments.  At this point you can firmly press along the surface of the trim piece starting at the center and working your way out.

NOTE:   Extra care must be taken when cleaning your dash kit. It is a good idea to lightly dust your kit with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from scratching it. Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth) with a good quality streak free glass cleaner.
